Competition Results:
April, 2012: FAMAT state competition
There were 55 schools present and close to 1500 students in attendance.
Jack Kim, 20th place, pre-calculus applications
Matthew Mistele, 15th place, discrete mathematics
Alex Tafur, 11th place, history of mathematics
Lisette Tellez, Megan Renshaw, & Matteo Kruijssen, 10th place, computer competition

3/3/12: Cypress Bay High School regional competition
Matthew Mistele (Calculus) - 7th place (out of over 300)
Calculus Team (Matt Mistele, Max Grad, Louis Segall, and Matteo Kruijssen) - 6th place
2/4/12: John A Ferguson High School competition
RE Team placed 6th out of 50 schools.
Geometry Team (Jackson, Hoffer-Hawlik, Friedman, Dotson) - 5th place overall.
Calculus Team (Mistele, Kruijssen, Renshaw, Segall) - 6th place.
Bradley Jackson also earned a 14th place trophy.
Matt Mistele placed 17th and Louis Segall placed 25th, out of 350 students.
In addition, we were joined by Joon-Young Kim and Eric Cai, both 7th grade students taking Algebra 2. They placed 19th and 39th out of 200 students!
1/21/12: Coral Glades statewide competition
Calculus (Renshaw, Segall, Kruijssen,Mistele) - 5th place.
Team placed 5th on interschool (a 50-question test every student in every division works on).
Megan Renshaw (Calculus division) - 17th place (out of 300).
12/11: David Essner Competition
Twenty of our Math Team students took the first round of the competition, sponsored by the University of Miami, along with 1000 students from Dade County. Six of our students were invited to compete in round 2 (the top 47 students).

12/2/11: Orlando statewide competition
Calculus 1 Team (Mistele, Grad, Aldorando, Weed) - 4th place
Matt Mistele (Calculus 1) - 9th place
Matt Mistele (Calculus ciphering) -18th place
Bradley Jackson (Geometry ciphering) - 17th place
