RE seniors named National Merit semifinalists

Sixteen RE seniors were named semifinalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Competition and 14 were recognized as commended students. The semifinalists were among just one percent of the 1.6 million students who took the PSAT to advance in the competition for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered in the spring.
The commended students finished in the top three percent of all test takers.

RE's National Merit Semifinalists: Celine De Araujo, Carlos Esber, Daniel Freedline, Jordan Gould, Gabriel Jaramillo, Stephen Kaiser, Scott Kim, Sonja Lazovic, Alexander Lerner, Ines Pinilla, Ben Rosenthal, Joshua Solesbury, Jacob Tie-Shue, Ryan Tie-Shue, Jordan Wong and Megan Zou.

RE's Commended Students: Evan Azari, David Goldstein, Rhona He, Alexander Kucera, Christian Kucera, Andrew Lorenzen, Jake Pearson, Olivia Perdigon, Tomas Pinilla, Ryan Schwartz, Ben Shapiro, Thor Wahlestedt, Jacob Weintraub and Jorge Zreik.
