Applying To Ransom Everglades

IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE FILE YOUR APPLICATION EARLY!

If your application is received AFTER January 1, 2009 we CANNOT guarantee an available interview appointment before our February 15, 2009 deadline.

After February 15, 2009 applications are considered on a rolling basis with a significantly higher chance of placement on a waiting list.

OUR DEADLINE FOR A COMPLETED FILE IS FEBRUARY 15, 2009.

Step 1 - An application is requested from the Admission Office.
[ Request an application for the 2009-2010 school year. ]
Once an application is returned to the Admission Office, an on-campus personal interview can be scheduled. Candidates who submit an application by January 1 are guaranteed an interview before our February 15 deadline; candidates who submit an application after January 1 are scheduled for an interview on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The SSAT Student Guide and registration form are mailed with each application. Parents are responsible for completing and submitting the form to the Secondary School Admission Test Board (SSATB) in Princeton, New Jersey. Only test scores received directly from SSAT will be accepted by Ransom Everglades School. TESTING IN DECEMBER IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, though January testing will also meet our February 15 deadline.

Step 2- Complete your child's application and submit it to our Admission Office.
A completed file includes an application, a completed on-campus personal interview, official test results from the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test), and official transcripts and recommendations from the applicant's current school.

All files completed by our February 15 deadline will receive notification of the Admission Committee's decision during the first week in March.

Decisions on files completed after the February 15th deadline will be announced on a rolling basis. No file will be reviewed until it is complete.

After receiving an application, the Admission Office is responsible for requesting recommendations and transcripts from the child's current school. These forms will be requested from the school in January 2010 or immediately upon receipt of an application after January.
