MS and US academic teams excel

Leo Fein '23 won a pair of middle school titles at the Central Florida Academic Bee and Bowl on March 30 in Spring Hill, Fla. His victory in the bee and bowl events came after he finished second in the junior varsity bee at the 2019 South Florida History Bee and Bowl Championships on Feb. 23 as RE's varsity team of Lucas Miner '20Justin Lopez '19 and Alex Boehm '19 claimed second in the varsity bowl and Miner second in the varsity bee.
At that event at Belen Jesuit Prep, Javier Kumar '22 and Victoria Davis '21 won the JV bowl as Kumar won the JV bee.

In other news, Chase Dubovy '25 placed second in the history bee and first in the academic bee at the Long Island competition for the National History and Academic Bee. Dubovy competed in New York because he had been unable to attend the South Florida competition in February. 

RE's high school academic team members are led by Branly Fontaine; the middle school team is coached by Joe Mauro.
