Raider Rout Down South

RE MS Boys' soccer opened league play with an emphatic, 6-0 victory versus the Warriors of Westminster Christian. In front of a large supporting crowd - courtesy of our JV team playing after - our team took hold of the game and never RElinquished control. Leading scorer, CF Lucas Piedrahita, delivered the first blow following a sumptuous corner kick play courtesy of a Henry Greengrass assist. WCS quickly decided to deny Piedrahita from adding to his total. Thus, leaving his mates on the front line, Sebastian Daes and Jasper Frankel, to combine for the 2nd goal scored by the former. A near carbon-copy of the well-executed opening goal, saw Daes find the well-positioned Alec Martinez-Bolivar about 35 yards away from goal. The Raider Football, kicking specialist felt right at home, sending an unstoppable shot. AMB, laid claim to his Man of the Match performance, turning JeffREy Tong's beautiful pass into another gREat finish. Tong, seemingly injected with a serum of some kind, showed fantastic awareness creating his own goal after intercepting a pass. The team were met with a challenge by switching to a new formation to close out the game. However, an example of their tREmendous potential saw AMB, now in a right wingback role, assist Frankel, now in a left wingback role, for goal number 6. The team aRE very excited to pREsent themselves in front of a home crowd on Thursday versus archrivals Palmer Trinity. Let's Bring the Noise! GO RAIDERS!
