RE dancers put on cREative winter showcase

RE Dance displayed its rapid growth and rising polish and flair under the direction of performing arts teacher Desiree Masucci with "cREate," the Dance Winter Showcase Jan. 23-24. The two-day event featured solos by Kira Oglesby '22 and Becca Fisher '20, a 2019 Dan Leslie Bowden Fellow in the Humanities.

The Upper School Dance Team helped illustrate the dramatic evolution of RE's dance program with impressive finales both night. The upper schoolers joined middle school students from each dance class from sixth through eighth grade. The students showed off a range of dance styles with choreography to artists/composers from Tchaikovsky to Ella Fitzgerald to Kanye West.

Masucci, in her third year at RE, at the conclusion of the second night recognized Fisher and fellow senior Sofia Mora '21, and many who helped with the performances.
