2nd championship in three years for girls basketball

The middle school girls basketball defeated Carrollton 36 - 9 in the SFMSC semi final game Saturday morning, setting up a championship game match-up with Palmer Trinity. The previous two meetings with Palmer were each decided by two points - a thrilling overtime season opener at home, and another barn burner a couple weeks later in December. The 2019 conference championship game against the Falcons would be no different. As the clock hit zero, the Raiders found themselves on the good side of the score, once again by only two points.

Notes: The win capped off an undefeated season, the program's second in three years. The only blemish in the last three years was a one point loss to Florida Christian in last year's conference final. Kathryn Serra earned tournament MVP honors.
