Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Cruises to Victory in Season Opener

Sophia Antezana stuffed the stat sheet with 2 goals, 4 assists and 7 draw controls as the Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Team cruised to victory against the visitors of Coral Reef, 19-2 in their season opener on Robert E. Walker Field. Ellie Dyke led the team in goals with 5 while Rachel Bienstock, Gaby Pena, Maya Rego and Calliste Skouras each tallied 2 goals and 1 assist. In addition to Antenzana, Skouras and Pena dominated the draw with 4 and 2 respectively. Neely Amdur, Georgia Crosby, Jessica Lee and Coco Sell added a goal apiece. Amdur also contributed an assist and Jojo Pena had a solid defensive effort with 4 caused turnovers. Goaltender Helaina Harris had 7 saves, 4 caused turnovers and only 2 goals allowed.
