Mystery solved: 'mockup' appears on construction site

It's not an outhouse or a new tower for school administrators to watch over Ransom Everglades. The mysterious, concrete-block edifice that recently sprouted  up on the STEM Center construction site next to the Visual Arts Building is a material mockup – a site for the architectural design team to review materials and color selections and make necessary modifications before installation in the new STEM Center.
The mockup will host every significant material and design element in the STEM Center. Construction is currently underway on the center's foundation; work will commence above ground in the coming weeks.
