Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Defeats District Foe Palmetto
The Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Team traveled to Miami Palmetto Senior High School for a district showdown and the Raiders came out victorious by a score of 16-5. Sophia Antezana led with Raiders with 4 goals, 7 draw controls, 1 caused turnover and 1 ground ball. Ellie Dyke had 4 goals of her own. Maya Rego contributed 3 goals and 2 ground balls while Mackenzie White added 2 goals and 1 ground ball. Calliste Skouras chipped in 1 goal, 3 assists, 3 draw controls and 3 ground balls. Gaby Pena rounded out the scoring with 2 goals. Coco Sell dished out 1 assist and Jojo Pena caused 1 turnover, picked up 1 ground ball, had 1 interception and won 1 draw control. Helaina Harris made 6 saves in goal.
