Girls' Varsity Track & Field Captures 14th Consecutive District Title

The Girls' Varsity Track & Field Team traveled to Nathaniel Traz Powell Stadium and captured their 14th consecutive district title with a score of 149, 34 more points than the second place finisher. Vashti Claybrook placed 1st in the 200 and 400 meter dash with times of 25.52 and 58.74. Brooke Scott (2:27.83) and Juliana Williamson (2:40.33) finished in the top 10 in the 800 meter run with 4th and 9th place finishes respectively. Madison Munroe placed 3rd in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:29.43. Fernanda Garcia Moreno Alvarez (4th) and Claire Irigoyen (9th) placed in the top 10 in the 3200 meter run with times of 12:40.89 and 13:15.74. Nicole Tacher Lois finished 4th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.46 and 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 50.33. Zoe Tsoukas placed 1st in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 47.82 while Nicole Bremer finished 8th with a time of 58.77. The team finished 1st in both the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay. Isabella Sosa and Nicole Tacher Lois swept 1st and 2nd place finishes in the high jump with a height of 4-07.75 while Zoe Tsoukas (17-04.75) and Daniela Zaidenberg (16-11.25) had a 1-2 punch finish in the long jump. The team dominated the girls triple jump: Daniela Zaidenberg (2nd), Kira Oglesby (6th), Isabella Sosa (7th) and Juliana Williamson (9th). Daniela Zaidenberg (2nd), Zoe Tsoukas (3rd) and Jessica Weinstein (6th) had strong finishes in the pole vault. Mia Williamson placed 8th in the discus finals with a throw of 68-06.00.
