Raiders split Pre-Season opener


The Ransom Everglades Varsity Girls Volleyball season kicked off their 2019-2020 campaign with a tight loss to Arch-Bishop McCarthy by a score of 25-19, 25-19. The Raiders were led by Sophia Antezana who had eight kills and Cami Lindsey who had six. Following the defeat to Arch-Bishop McCarthy, the Raiders had a quick turnaround and faced their longtime rival Gulliver Prep. Led by Caro Signoret and her seven service points (including four aces), the Raiders jumped to an early lead and never trailed as they defeated Gulliver by scores of 25-19 and 25-15. Mia Balestra added to the Raiders’ impressive performance with five kills of her own. The Raiders will return to practice today as they get ready to officially open their season on Tuesday, August 20th at home against Pine Crest.
