Alumni gather over Thanksgiving holiday

RE alumni gathered over the Thanksgiving break to reconnect, celebrate a 10th reunion and honor the memory of Antonio Tsialas '19. More than 200 attended the Young Alumni Event at the Taurus on Nov. 27 to kick off a busy weekend that included a Celebration of Life for Tsialas, who passed away on Oct. 24 at Cornell University.
The Celebration of Life on Nov. 29 drew about 300 alumni, current students, faculty and staff to the Lewis Family Auditorium for a reflective service that included emotional testimony from Antonio's mother and sister, and members of the RE soccer team. That was followed Nov. 30 by the annual alumni soccer game, which drew record participation as "old" alumni took on young alumni. The game began with a tribute to Tsialas.

Members of the Class of 2009 celebrated their 10-Year Reunion on Nov. 29. More than 60 members of the class attended along with Head of School Penny Townsend and members of RE's faculty. Reunion Chair Victoria Calleja '09, who is also a class agent along with Gina Rajiman '09, helped organize the event. Classmates from all over gathered for the reunion, which included a special toast for the late Francisco Triana '09.
