Boys settle for draw at home.

A fantastic free kick by Lucas Rua and a header by Rafa Coronell was not enough to earn a victory at home versus Cushman. The rematch from last week's game was never going to be easy, but the team started well to earn an indirect free kick just outside the box. As they planned, Juhasz set up the ball for Rua to drive home a 'banger'. The lead was given away  after some poor defending, but regained in the 2nd half when a scramble in the box saw Coronell leap to bury the ball past the Cushman goalkeeper. Cushman increased pressure on the defense and was rewarded with a corner kick with less than 20 seconds on the clock with Captain Chase Dubovy making an amazing save. Sloppy defending allowed a shot from 8 yards out to bring the score line even. On the ensuing kickoff, the forwards were able to end the game with a shot on goal. Next week JV will travel for 2 huge matches, the first at Gulliver on Wednesday followed by Westminster Christian on Thursday. Hope to see you there!
