Wood-styled ceiling takes shape

Workers are nearly finished installing wood-effect ceiling panels above the monumental staircase of the STEM Center, bringing the center a step closer to completion and adding warmth and color to the striking glass-and-cement exterior.
Classrooms are taking shape inside the center as workers erect drywall, install interior glass walls and doors, and polish floors. After work on the five second-floor classrooms is complete, the construction team will move to the third floor, before internal work concludes on the first floor – the site of the maker, robotics and lab spaces.

Lab countertops and cabinets are expected to arrive the week of Feb. 2, and will represent another significant installation milestone.Workers also are continuing surface work on the parking lot that will connect the main upper school campus with La Brisa.
