Crosby '21 named SGA President
Georgia Crosby '21 was named the 2020-21 student body president at Ransom Everglades during a virtual upper school assembly on April 17. Crosby, currently a Student Government Association representative for the junior class, succeeds departing senior Preston Edmunds '20. Officers for the senior, junior, sophomore and classes were elected later in April.
Head of School Penny Townsend thanked Edmunds for an "incredible" year as SGA president, and lauded Crosby for her campaign speech and emphasis on school spirit. Crosby has been involved in SGA since her middle school years. She also is a district champion in speech and debate; a member the lacrosse team; a HIP advisor; and participant in the Booker T. Washington Senior High exchange.
"I just want to thank you for your amazing support and help," she said to her upper school peers during the assembly. "I love you, and I'm really looking forward to working with you next year."

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
