Broadway performers connect with MS students

RE Middle School Musical Theater students under Cecilia Gonzalez have launched a series of conversations with Broadway stars designed to provide real-world insight into the exciting, competitive and demanding world of professional performing. They met virtually with stage and film actor Sean Patrick Doyle on April 30 and Broadway actress Mariand Torres of Wicked fame on May 5.
Doyle's Broadway credits include the Tony-winning Kinky Boots and La Cage Aux Folles and film work includes 20th Century Fox’s The Sitter, opposite Oscar nominee Jonah Hill and Oscar winner Sam Rockwell. His experience on Broadway and in film and television made for a fantastic conversation and gave the students an opportunity to ask questions about auditioning and performing professionally.

Torres, best known for her role as Elphaba in Wicked and as an original cast member in InTransit, also shared her experiences and took questions.
