All-state recognition in music

Five Ransom Everglades students were named to four different all-state music ensembles. Connor Munroe '21 was selected for the Florida All-State Jazz Band for the sixth straight year, this time on tenor saxophone, clarinet and flute. Violet Martin '24 earned a place in the Florida All-State Concert Orchestra on viola. Adam Chopp '22 was selected for the Florida All-State Guitar Ensemble. And middle schoolers Sirja Joeveer '25 on violin and Mateo Heitner '25 on cello were named to the Middle School All-State Honors Orchestra.
"Please join me in congratulating the students for their artistry, commitment, and hard work in pursuing this opportunity," said Jon Hamm, Performing Arts Department Chair. The students have been taught by faculty members Hamm, Scott O'Donnell, Jessica Carrasquillo and Cathi Leibinger.
