Four RE students win at National Jazz Festival

Four RE students – Adam Chopp '22, Zoe Holtzman '22, Connor Munroe '21 and Max Vallone '22 – earned first-place honors at the 2021 National Jazz Festival held virtually from Philadelphia on May 22, with a total of 13 Ransom Everglades students representing seven different disciplines winning recognition at the evening's awards ceremony.

Students from schools across the nation participated in various categories: small ensemble, large ensemble, vocal groups, soloists and composers. RE's musicians train under Performing Arts Director Jon Hamm and the singers under faculty member Sam Shapiro.
