Raiders win big in season opener

Six different Raiders scored their first goals of the season in a convincing 6-0 victory over Florida Christian to get the 21-22 season off to a strong start. Goal scorers Sofia Rua '23, Mather Davidson '22, Hannah Badia '22, Lauren Howard '23, Isabela Chong '24, and Grace Burke '23 helped to open up a huge lead that the Raiders would not relinquish. Freshman goal keeper Addison Pollock '25 recorded a shut out in her first varsity game. Freshman Casey Manno '25 and Anna Lavernia '25 also had strong games on the defensive side of the field in their first varsity experience. The victory moves the Raiders to 1-0 as they return to practice today before hosting Don Soffer High School on Friday. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
