Ransom Everglades wins again in speech and debate

For the third time this school year, a Ransom Everglades speech and debate team won a national debate event in public forum; this time it was Sophia Rubinstein '22 and Eva Tariko '22 who finished first at the John Edie Holiday Debates hosted by The Blake School in Minneapolis December 17-20.
Dashiell DeStefano '22 finished third in Congressional Debate as Liv Steinhardt '23 made it to the final round. Ceci Granda-Scott '22 and Nicole Rodriguez '22 advanced to the final 16 in public forum, as Noah Gold '22 and Rodriguez finished ninth and 10th, respectively, in the Speaker Awards.

Gold and Zach Marcus '22 won two previous public forum events to earn a No. 1 ranking in the nation in the event. All of the teams are led by RE Speech and Debate Coach Kate Hamm.

DeStefano, Rubinstein and Tariko, and Granda-Scott and Rodriguez also earned qualifying bids to the end-of-season Tournament of Champions event in Lexington, Ken.
