Raiders defeat Westminster Christian 4-0 to advance to regional semifinals

Senior Nicholas Sosa '22 opened the scoring minutes into the game on a brilliant 60 yard solo run to give the Raiders an early 1-0 lead in the regional quarterfinals against Westminster Christian. Minutes later, Christian Sosa '22 extended the lead hammering home a loose ball in the 18 yard box to give the Raiders a commanding 2-0 lead at the half.  At the 70' minute mark, Christian Sosa '22 would again find the back of the next on a loose ball in the box to put the game out of reach. Senior Felipe de Cardenas '22  would close out the scoring with a late header off a cross from Nicholas  Sosa '22. Defensively, the Raiders received quality performances from seniors Juan Rivera'22 and Rylan Sadler '22. With the victory the Raiders advance to the regional semifinals which they will host at Robert E. Walker Field Saturday evening. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
