Calculus team second in regional event

RE's calculus team – Alex Van Lidth '22, Nikhil Kumar '22, Maya Shaked '24 and Sabrina Shipley '22 – finished second in a regional math competition in Naples on February 12, led by Van Lidth's fifth-place individual finish among more than 100 competitors from the east and west coasts of Florida. Ransom Everglades' pre-calculus team scored fifth place as the Raiders claimed fifth overall at the Golden Gate Region 5 February Regional 2022.
The pre-calculus team of Andrew Gedde '25, Tea Delic '24, Hudson Kaplan '25 and Valentina Herrera Ponce de Leon '24 was led by Gedde's 15th place.

RE's statistics team of Isa Goyanes '22, Emma Quintane '23 and Marco Zhao '23 and its geometry team of Matthew Moskovitz '25, Vicky Pinilla '25 and Henry Berler '25 contributed to the Raiders' overall fifth-place finish.

The math team is coached by faculty member Karen Key.
