RE second in SAISA regatta

Ransom Everglades' varsity sailing team finished second in the 2022 South Atlantic Interscholastic Sailing Association South Points No. 5 that took place in beautiful conditions on Biscayne Bay February 26. Eighteen varsity teams and 10 JV teams competed at the event officially held at the Harry Anderson '38 Watersports Center.

RE entered two JV teams in the event, and every sailor on RE's roster participated. The JV A team finished third overall, and the B team, fifth.

Stephan Baker '22, Jackson McAliley '23
and Griggs Diemar '25 served as skippers for RE's varsity, and Sebastian van de Kreeke '25 led the JV A squad. Both squads competed under the leadership of coach Joe Logan. RE's varsity is second in the 2021-22 SAISA rankings behind Immaculata-La Salle High School.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
