REunited at the RE Party & Auction

A record number of faculty, staff, parents and alumni came decked out in toga chic attire for a night of dancing, bidding and socializing at the 39th Annual RE Party & Auction on April 2. What an incredible evening celebrating our Ransom Everglades community! Carpe Diem: REimagine the Classics was spectacular in every way!
A huge THANK YOU to our entire Ransom Everglades community for supporting the auction. What a tremendous success! A record number of tickets were purchased, sponsors secured and auction items sold. All event proceeds support financial aid.

Toga-clad guests made their way through the upper school campus to the Henry H. Anderson, Jr. ’38 gymnasium. A big thanks to our faculty and staff volunteers who greeted partygoers and made registration a breeze. Guests entered the gym to find rows of tables organized with hundreds of dazzling silent auction items tempting guests to place their bids.

Our incredibly talented event chairs, Stephanie Sayfie Aagaard ’88, Nicole Sayfie Porcelli ’89 and Lisa Sayfie ’91, surprised and delighted guests by transforming the gym into a gorgeous and festive party venue! Pergolas draped with greenery, a golden chariot, gladiators in full regalia and a majestic throne set the scene. Guests were even offered natural laurel crowns to wear. Multiple stations served delicious food and free-flowing drinks. Partygoers enjoyed games, an interactive photo booth and danced the night away to the DJ’s best party tunes.

The highlight of the evening was reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones. Our RE community is filled with the most incredible, fascinating people! This event would not have been possible without the support of our presenting sponsor, City National Bank. We are grateful also for the generosity of many other families and businesses for their valued sponsorships and auction donations. This was an unforgettable and highly successful evening with all money raised for financial aid. A link to photos will be posted in This Week @ RE as soon as they are available.

I am forever indebted to our parent volunteers who said “YES!” when I asked them to serve this year. Superstar RE Party & Event Chairs, Stephanie Sayfie Aagaard ’88, Nicole Sayfie Porcelli ’89 and Lisa Sayfie ’91, worked tirelessly along with fearless Auction Acquisitions Chairs, Nickelle Crowley and Douglas Kaplan, and dedicated Soledad Awad, our Auction Technology Chair, to make sure this event was successful and memorable in every way. Lauren Funke did an outstanding job as Sponsor Chair. Javi Lugo assisted with any and all technology related issues and made sure auction check-out went smoothly. Rocio Maynulet oversaw REPA communications and kept us right on schedule making sure we followed guidelines. Our talented Social Media Chair, Maya Ezratti, honored our valued sponsors and kept us motivated with her engaging and beautiful social media posts. Thank you to the invaluable Auction Acquisitions Team and the Host Committee for their hard work securing auction items and promoting the event. You are truly an exceptional group of volunteers. I am honored to have had this opportunity to work with each of you; you have become dear friends.
