Class of 2022 heading to 81 colleges in five countries

Ransom Everglades seniors planted colorful mini flags to mark their college destinations on a map posted in the Ansin Breezeway on May 2, lighting up locations around the nation and globe. With a few of RE’s 156 seniors still deciding, the Class of 2022 is heading to 81 colleges or universities in five countries and 24 states and the District of Columbia.
The seniors, many wearing T-shirts or sweatshirts bearing the name of their future school, stopped to post flags and enjoy donuts provided by the school’s college counseling office.

Seniors are planning to attend schools on the West Coast and in the Pacific Northwest, the South and Northeast, as well as in Spain (Universidad de Navarra), France (The American University of Paris), Canada (University of Toronto) and Scotland (University of St. Andrews). They are heading to public research institutions, private liberal arts colleges, technical institutes, art and music schools and a seminary.

No more than six RE students are heading to any one school, and 44 students are off solo to their college destination. Twelve seniors are heading to Massachusetts; 11 to New York; and eight are staying in Florida.
