Raider sailing qualifies for ISSA Baker National Championships

The College of Charleston welcomed five of the best sailing teams in the southeast region for the Baker national qualification event. Strong westerly winds and an incoming tide made for good conditions in the river just outside the Patriots Point Marina at the College of Charleston Sailing Center. LaSalle and Ransom Everglades both sailed well and qualified for the national event despite the final race of the day being cancelled as wind conditions were deemed to dangerous. Ransom Everglades will be represented by sailors Stephan Baker '22, Boris Bialer '22, Eva Gonzalez-Whitehouse '22, Livia Hermann '22, Ian Fox '24, Jackson McAliley '23, Sophia Adams '23, Emery Diemar '24, and Griggs Diemar '25. We wish them the best of luck as they head to Houston, Texas next weekend for the ISSA Baker Team Race National Championships.
