RE sweeps Scholar Athlete of Year honors

Shipley, who helped her team to the state semifinals in water polo, was also named the Herald’s Player of the Year for water polo, and she was among 24 student-athletes named to the Florida High School Athletic Association’s 28^th Annual Florida Dairy Farmers Academic All-State Team. Girls’ water polo coach Eric Lefebvre, who has led RE's girls' team to 16 straight district titles and multiple state championships in his tenure at RE, was named Girls’ Water Polo Coach of the Year. Find the story highlighting him here.

The list: Eleonora Cavallini ’23, water polo; Leah Croom ’24, lacrosse; Dani Darcangelo ’24, lacrosse; Levi Gans ’22, lacrosse; Amanda Harris ’22, water polo; Paolo Rebessi ’23, water polo; Jack Rivas-Vazquez ’22, lacrosse; Nick Rubino ’23, baseball; De’vonte Payton ’22, volleyball (Payton was also named American Volleyball Coaches Association Best and Brightest Second Team All-American) ; Sabrina Shipley ’22, water polo; Sarah Velazco ’23, water polo; and Mary Logan Woolsey ’22, water polo.
