Record-setting year for The Fund for RE

Ransom Everglades ended June with a record $4.1 million in gifts to The Fund for RE, the school's annual giving program. Many in the Ransom Everglades community contributed to this extraordinary fundraising year, which included gifts from nearly 250 first-time donors and 12 percent more alumni donors.
 
"We are incredibly grateful to our donors, whose contributions have made a meaningful difference for our school. Because of you, RE students benefit from an outstanding faculty, a vibrant learning community and first-rate facilities," Director of Advancement Melanie Hoffmann and trustee and advancement chair Ricky Stokes '94 said in a letter to the community.

Here are a few highlights:
  • More than 248 donors made their first gifts to RE.
  • Launched the Harry Anderson '38 Loyalty Society, which recognizes those who have a 10 year or more streak of giving, with 301 founding members.
  • The number of alumni donors increased by 12 percent.
  • The number of parent donors rose by 8 percent.
  • Donors helped RE shatter its record for this year's Raider Day of Giving in March, more than doubling last year's record total.
  • More than 500 people joined the Trustees' Challenge this spring, making their first gift in 2021-22 during the challenge.
"We look forward to sharing more highlights and demonstrating the impact of your generosity in the annual Report of Giving later this fall," Hoffmann and Stokes said. "Thank you for your generous – and historic – support of Ransom Everglades!"

Hoffmann and Stokes also thanked the many RE community members who served as volunteers, including The Fund for RE Parent Chairs Eleanor and Chris Barnett and Alumni Chair Phil Cassel '03, and their committees.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
