RE golf wins fifth district title in six years

Ransom Everglades boys' golf team posted the lowest team score in school history at a district championship, winning its fifth district title in six years at the Florida High School Athletic Association 1A District 16 Championship Oct. 25 at Normandy Shores Golf Course. RE posted five of the top six scores on the day, led by Kobe Lopez '23, who shot a 1-over par 72. He finished second individually.
Nick Viana  '24 finished third (73, +2). Hugo Stenstrom '26 and Jesse Hellring '25 tied for fourth (74, +3); their rounds gave RE the victory with a team score of 293. Jackson Langer '24 shot a 75 for sixth overall. RE topped second-place Florida Christian, which scored 306, and third-place Palmer Trinity, which tallied 320. The performance earned the Raiders a place in the FHSAA Region 4 regional championships Nov. 1 at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne.

In the girls' tournament, Kate Khvorostiana ’25 tied for eighth place to earn a spot in the girls' regional championship Nov. 2 at Crandon Park.
