Raiders roll in home opener

Senior Kathryn Serra '23 led the way with 11 points, 13 rebounds, eight steals, and five assists as the Raiders cruised to a 59-31 victory over Miami Edison to move to 2-1 on the season. Junior Leah Croom '24 added 14 points including four three pointers, and four rebounds. Despite a slow start, the Raiders would find their rhythm in the second quarter outscoring Edison 21-2. The Raider defense was outstanding forcing 36 turnovers, including 10 steals leading to 20 transition points. The Raiders will look to make it three straight victories later today as they host Florida Christian at 4:30 p.m. as part of a basketball tripleheader this evening.
