RE students score at speech and debate states

Four Ransom Everglades students posted top finishes at the Florida Forensic League Varsity State Championships in Orlando on March 4-5. Eduardo Michelsen '25 earned fifth place in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, Daniela Garcia '26 and Miranda Silva '26 scored sixth place in Duo Interpretation and Andrew Gedde '25 claimed sixth in Informative Speaking.
Other RE students also excelled under the direction of coach Kate Hamm, with six students reaching event semifinals: Lauren Howard '23 (Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking), Jillian Demos-Brown '25 and Kayra Serpenguzel '25 (Duo Interpretation), Eva Bricker ’23 (Informative Speaking), Ryan Berkshire '23 (Original Oratory), Leila Zaydon '23 (Dramatic Interpretation), Lauren Page '24 (Impromptu Speaking) and Claudia Colina '25 (Program of Oral Interpretation).

Reaching the quarterfinals in World Schools were: Dylan Miner '23, Ian Fox '24, Leticia Crosby '23, Jake Perdigon '24 and Mason Signorello '23. Marco Zhao '23 and Lara Semerci '23 and Sindhu Talluri '25 and Varun Raju '24 reached octofinals in Public Forum.
