Second social psychology symposium draws a crowd
At Ransom Everglades' Second Annual Social Psychology Symposium. AP Psychology students shared projects that examined how social psychology theories apply to current events, trends or developments, tackling a range of topics from the emergence of ChatGPT to Gov. Ron DeSantis' feud with the College Board to Chinese spy balloons. The April 4 event in the lobby of the Lewis Family Auditorium drew dozens of students, faculty members and students' parents during the midday break.
Eleven groups of students under RE Humanities Department faculty member Jenny Carson '03 created posters or digital presentations on their work, which examined their topic through the lens of social psychology. The goal of each student's work was to explore the intersection of social psychology and a movement unfolding in the world today that captured their interest. Attendees wandered from project to project, asking questions and watching the video presentations the students had prepared.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
