RE Symphonic Bands excel at district festival

Ransom Everglades' Upper and Middle School Symphonic Bands earned the top rating of Superior at the Florida Bandmasters Association District Concert Band Music Performance Assessment at the Lewis Family Auditorium on March 2-3. Only one other program of the 14 that participated earned the highest ranking.
The Middle School Concert Band also excelled at the MPA, earning an excellent rating. The Middle School bands are directed by Cathi Leibinger. 

It was the fourth straight year the RE Symphonic Band for the Upper School earned the top ratiing under director Jon Hamm. The band earned the highest scores among all the high schools participating at the RE site, and was the only high school band to earn an overall Superior rating.

More than 450 students throughout FBA District 20 participated in the event.

Hamm offered thanks to all of the participating students and parents for their "invaluable assistance and work" in hosting the festival at Ransom Everglades. He also thanked members of the RE administration, faculty and staff for their generous assistance and cooperation.
