  • Boys' Varsity Basketball Closes Out Regular Season with Victory at Terra

    All eight players scored as the Boys' Varsity Basketball Team closed out the regular season with a victory at Terra Environmental Research Institute. Joseph Kodsi led all scorers with 23 points while Neil Schiff contributed 18 points. Two others players reached double-figure scoring: Ben Thorpe (12 points) and Lucas Ortiz (11 points). Ryan Peluso (5 points), Izzy Szomstein (5 points), Jack Fitzpatrick (3 points) and Nick Lampert (3 points) rounded out the scoring for the Raiders. The final score was Ransom Everglades, 80 and Terra, 70.

  • Boys' Varsity Basketball Captures Rivalry Game Win Over Palmer Trinity

    Neil Schiff scored a game-high 28 points, including six 3-pointers as the Boys' Varsity Basketball Team rose to the occasion by capturing a road victory at Palmer Trinity, 50-44. Ben Thorpe contributed 10 points, including 6-6 key free throws at the end of the 4th quarter. Lucas Ortiz added 9 points and held Palmer Trinity's leading scorer to just two points in the 2nd half. Joseph Kodsi and Ryan Peluso provided a much needed spark off the bench, especially during the team's 3rd quarter run. The team sank 12-14 free throws down the stretch to seal the victory for the Raiders.

  • Boys' Varsity Basketball Catches Fire, Defeats Northwest Christian

    Ben Thorpe connected on five 3-point shots for a total of 24 points as the Boys' Varsity Basketball Team defeated Northwest Christian, 85-49 at the Henry H. Anderson '38 Gymnasium on Thursday night. Balanced scoring and unselfish play were the keys to victory. Neil Schiff (18 points), Lucas Ortiz (13 points), Nick Lampert (12 points), Jack Fitzpatrick (10 points) and Izzy Szomstein (8 points) rounded out the scoring for the Raiders.

  • Boys' Varsity Basketball Captures Road Victory

    Neil Schiff nailed six 3-point shots as the Boys' Varsity Basketball Team captured their first road victory of the season by defeating Felix Varela, 71-55. Schiff finished with a team-high 24 points while Ben Thorpe contributed 13 points and Phil Covil added 10 points. Izzy Szomstein (7 points), Joseph Kodsi (6 points), Ryan Peluso (5 points), Nick Lampert (4 points), Jack Fitzpatrick (2 points) and Lucas Ortiz (2 points) rounded out the scoring for the Raiders.

  • Balanced Attack Leads Boys' Varsity Basketball Past Divine Savior

    Neil Schiff led all-scorers with 21 points and Ben Thorpe recorded 20 points of his own as the Boys' Varsity Basketball Team caught fire against Divine Savior Academy. Schiff and Thorpe connected on a total of nine 3-point shots.  Lucas Ortiz (10 points), Izzy Szomstein (9 points) and Hugo Verea (7 points) contributed on the offensive end for the Raiders. The final score was Ransom Everglades, 79 and Divine Savior, 58.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
