Student Exchange Trip to China

Ransom Everglades exchange program with sister schools is a vital part of the Chinese program. This exchange program gives the students a great opportunity to better understand the language and the culture. The first-hand life experience inspires them to continue with their study in the future long after they graduate from high school. RE signed an exchange agreement with a school in Beijing in the summer of 2009, and the first group of Ransom Everglades students went to China in the summer of 2010.

Fourteen Chinese exchange students from Lin Chuan Number One High School visited Ransom Everglades from February 1 to 6, 2016, hosted by RE families. Nineteen Ransom Everglades upper school students went to China for two weeks in March, 2016. After exploring Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Beijing, they visited Lin Chuan Number One High School, the exchange school located in Linchuan in the Jiangxi province.

In March, 2020, Ransom Everglades students will once again visit China during spring break, exploring Beijing (the capital of China), Hangzhou, Suzhou, Ninbo and Shanghai.
