Ransom Everglades exchange program with sister schools is a vital part of the Chinese program. This exchange program gives the students a great opportunity to better understand the language and the culture. The first-hand life experience inspires them to continue with their study in the future long after they graduate from high school. RE signed an exchange agreement with a school in Beijing in the summer of 2009, and the first group of Ransom Everglades students went to China in the summer of 2010.
Fourteen Chinese exchange students from Lin Chuan Number One High School visited Ransom Everglades from February 1 to 6, 2016, hosted by Ransom Everglades families. Next, nineteen Ransom Everglades Upper School students will go to China during spring break from March 12 to 26 for a return visit. They will explore Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Beijing. They will also visit Lin Chuan Number One High School, the exchange school located in Nanchang in Jiangxi province. The two week trip will be concluded in Beijing, the capital of China, before they return home.
