Boys lacrosse advances to district final
Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 led the way with three goals as the Raiders earned a 10-4 victory over Key West High School to advance to the district final against Gulliver Prep. Senior Matias de Cardenas '24, junior Reid Rosenberg '24, and sophomore Elijah Ponce '24 all scored twice in a strong performance by the Raider offense. Junior Rafa Bonafonte '25 rounded out the scoring with goal of his own. Freshman Hunter White '27 led the Raiders with a team high four assists. From the opening whistle the Raiders were ready to play jumping out to an early 3-0 lead. From there the defense would prove resilient forcing difficult shots from Key West. Goalie Chase White continued his stellar play with 21 saves in the victory. The Raiders will now turn their attention to preparation for the district final this Wednesday at Gulliver Prep. Raider lacrosse earns win on senior night
Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 and junior Reid Rosenberg '25 each scored three goals to lead the Raiders to a 10-6 victory over St. Brendan on senior night. The Raiders honored a large senior class led by Matias De Cardenas '24, Jack Pollock '24, Ryan Bienstock '24, Lucas Bernal '24, Harrison Stone '24, Michael Kaye '24, Alec Stein '24, and Delio Gonzalez '24 prior to the game. The Raiders made sure that senior night would end the right way with a well played game on both sides of the ball. Eighth grader Liam Segal '28 added two goals, and freshman Hunter White '27, and senior Jack Pollock '24 rounded out the scoring for the team. Defensively, the Raiders continued their strong play holding their opponent to single digit goals in eight of ten games on the season. Raiders stay perfect, move to 5-0
Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 continued his strong start to the season with a four goal performance as the Raiders earned their best win of the season in an 8-7 road victory over University School. Junior Reid Rosenberg '25 added two goals and an assist in the victory. Senior Harrison Stone '24 and sophomore Wes Barnett '26 rounded out the scoring for the Raiders. Senior Noa Abboud '24 picked up six face off wins in his first action of the season and defensively senior Jack Pollock '24 led the way with seven groundballs and five takeaways. Raiders move to 2-0 with strong performance
Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 led the the way with three goals and two assists as the Raiders rolled to a 12-2 victory to open the home slate of the 23-24 season over Westminster Academy. Sophomore Wes Barnett '26 and eighth grader Liam Segal '28 gave the Raider offense a boost with two goals of their own. From the opening whistle the Raiders were focused and jumped out to a 6-1 first quarter lead. Junior goalie Chase White '25 stopped five of six shots behind strong defensive efforts from junior Connor Gumbs '25 and senior Jack Pollock '24. Raider lacrosse wins opener 16-2
Senior Ryan Bienstock '24 opened his senior season with five goals and two assists to lead the Raiders to a 16-2 road victory over Coral Glades High School. Sophomore Wes Barnett '26 and junior Reid Rosenberg '25 had three goals a piece in the victory. Senior Jack Pollock '24, freshman Ian Villaraos '27, junior Lucas Bernal '25, and junior Rafael Bonafonte '25 rounded out the scoring with a goal of their own. Defensively, the Raiders played well and received a strong game from junior goaltender Chase White who stopped nine of ten shots in net.
