The Fund for RE & Technology

Donor support for technology enables the spirit of innovation and resourcefulness at the heart of an RE education.

This year several academic tools were added to enhance learning and manage classroom technology use. Dyknow was implemented throughout middle and upper school to provide classroom management and proctoring tools that keep students focused. Virtual and augmented reality tools were deployed in the classroom providing more in-depth experiential learning. The Arts were supported through the purchase of new cameras for photography and yearbook classes, while the network infrastructure in Lewis Family Auditorium was upgraded for future growth and updates. College Counseling aided and guided our students' college pursuits and planning with College Kickstart, an objective analytical tool, that was added to the counselors' arsenal. A new sound system was installed at the Robert E. Walker field in time for the spring athletic season.
“In Anatomy and Physiology, we use a software program called Visible Body, an online virtual platform that allows students to study many different detailed aspects of the human body in a way that would otherwise be limited when using models or 2-D imagery.  Students have the option to use the Visible Body Atlas, which provides an image of the full human body that can be virtually zoomed in on, rotated, and even dissected. The Atlas also offers a Virtual Reality option for viewing different structures! It is a powerful tool for a deeper understanding of the structures and body system integration in the human body.”
