The Fund for RE & Athletics
Read MoreThanks to support of athletics, students develop leadership skills and find their strengths, both literally and figuratively, on and off the field.Throughout three athletic seasons, we engage over 1,200 students on 84 teams in multiple conference, district and regional championships – including five district championships at the upper school and three South Florida Middle School Conference championships. While we are very happy to celebrate these crowning achievements, we are equally proud of the countless moments our student-athletes demonstrated leadership, team work, grit and service to their community. -
The Fund for RE & Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

This work gives life, vitality and hope to members of these smaller pockets. But equally important, programs thrust the talents and creativity of underrepresented groups to the forefront, and we begin, almost in wonderment, to recognize the concrete similarities shared by all. -

And several faculty members gave their own presentations at conferences this year, representing Ransom Everglades as a national thought leader in education. -

The school provides over $7.2 million dollars in financial aid and tuition remission annually. -
The Fund for RE & Performing and Visual Arts
Read MoreThanks to support of the arts, we are able to provide meaningful opportunities that elevate the experiences of our students.We started two vocal ensembles, one at the middle school and one at the upper school. Additionally, we debuted our brand new symphony orchestra, whose year culminated in the first ever Major Works Concert. In visual arts we are starting a high school digital art class to vertically align with our amazing middle school program, and in dance we’ve added an upper school dance teacher to coach the dance team as well as our new upper school dance class. -
The Fund for RE & Sustainability
Read MoreBecause of donor support for sustainability, students and faculty are helping RE become an independent school leader in protecting and prioritizing the environment.In April, we hosted the 7th annual RE Climate Symposium, which featured around 400 student research projects spanning grades 6-12. Earth Week 2023 featured Arassari Pataxó from Brazil. He spoke to students on both campuses and shared stories about his culture and urged students and faculty to protect the Amazon, all forests and our planet. -
The Fund for RE & Technology
Read MoreDonor support for technology enables the spirit of innovation and resourcefulness at the heart of an RE education.This year several academic tools were added to enhance learning and manage classroom technology use. Dyknow was implemented throughout middle and upper school to provide classroom management and proctoring tools that keep students focused. Virtual and augmented reality tools were deployed in the classroom providing more in-depth experiential learning. The Arts were supported through the purchase of new cameras for photography and yearbook classes, while the network infrastructure in Lewis Family Auditorium was upgraded for future growth and updates. College Counseling aided and guided our students' college pursuits and planning with College Kickstart, an objective analytical tool, that was added to the counselors' arsenal. A new sound system was installed at the Robert E. Walker field in time for the spring athletic season. -
The Fund for RE & the School's Greatest Needs
Read MoreSupport of the school’s greatest needs allows us to provide opportunities that help our students and faculty make the most of their Ransom Everglades experiences.We have made significant investments in people and programs on both campuses, enhancing security, transforming our college counseling office, increasing sustainability efforts, and recruiting a diverse and talented group of new students, just to name a few. Our students continue to pursue their passions in academics, arts and athletics, and explore their interests through a wide range of extracurricular activities.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ransom Everglades School produces graduates who "believe that they are in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it." The school provides rigorous college preparation that promotes the student's sense of identity, community, personal integrity and values for a productive and satisfying life, and prepares the student to lead and to contribute to society.
