College Counseling

Marlen Nuñez de Varela

College Counselor and Science Teacher

I am excited to serve as a faculty college counselor while also teaching biology and chemistry at Ransom Everglades School. Teaching has always been something that has inspired me, as it is truly the best way to make a difference in someone’s life. I hold a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from St. Thomas University, where I also earned my master’s degree in education with a specialization in reading. I previously worked as a private educational consultant, helping high school and college students in their pursuit of higher education. When I am not in the classroom, I am busy enjoying the outdoors with my family, trying out new recipes, crafting custom jewelry, or catching up on murder mystery shows.
