RE wins big at middle school and high school geography bees

Ransom Everglades' teams won two first places and one second place in the Independent Schools of South Florida Middle School and High School Geography Bees in October at the Women's Club of Coral Gables. Iker Fierro '28, Jaz Puri '28, Jack Akselrad '28, Noah Veras '29 and Ciaran Clingan '29 posted a 6-0 record to win the Oct. 10 middle school bee under the direction of coach Joe Mauro. Daniel Figueroa '24, Erick Gross '24, Benny Fishman '26 and Liam Forand '24 won the Oct. 24 high school bee under coaches Abby Berler and Branly Fontaine.
Jacob Aronow '26, Lucas Gonzalez '27, Parker Jelke '27, Gabrielle Tchira '27 and Charlie Reizenstein '26 finished second at the high school bee.
