Sixteen RE seniors named National Merit Semifinalists

Sixteen RE seniors were named semifinalists in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program, a distinction that places them in the top one percent of high school seniors who took the Preliminary SAT during their junior year. The semifinalists were recognized during an Upper School assembly on Sept. 25.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation was established in 1955 to conduct the National Merit Scholarship Program. The semifinalists may continue in the competition, seeking the ultimate title of Merit Scholar and one of 7,500 National Merit Scholarships awarded next spring worth more than $31 million
