    REady: A REASON Career Workshop on Medicine and Healthcare is an event that will provide students with a chance to get an inside look at the many ways people make a difference in the world of healthcare — not just through practicing medicine, but also through leadership, innovation, and systems-level thinking. Students will engage with four accomplished professionals, including three alumni and one distinguished guest, who represent diverse roles within the medical field: clinical care, entrepreneurship, and hospital leadership.
     
    Each presenter will guide students through a real-world case study drawn directly from their career — a situation that challenges students to think like a physician, medical executive, or health-tech entrepreneur. These interactive scenarios will expose students to complex, often high-stakes decision-making where science, ethics, policy, and patient needs intersect.
     
    Students will rotate through two breakout rooms, each offering a different lens into the healthcare world. In a final debrief, facilitators will answer student questions and share practical advice about what students can do now and in college to pursue a meaningful path in medicine or health-related careers. The workshop is designed to expand students’ understanding of what careers in healthcare look like along with how leadership, innovation, and compassion all shape the future of medicine.
