Access the applicant checklist where you will be required to upload a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate and a photograph (close-up, full face, front view). Applications cannot be processed until we receive all of these materials.
Print the Parental Permission for Release of Student Records on the applicant checklist. Complete this form and take it to the appropriate person at the applicant’s current school. The form will request the school to send Ransom Everglades the following: grades through at least the first semester or trimester of the current year, last year’s final grades, standardized test scores, attendance records, and conduct grades/reports.
Schedule the applicant’s on-campus personal interview via the checklist on the parent portal. Interviews for all candidates are held in the Admission Office located on the Everglades Campus - Middle School at 2045 South Bayshore Drive, Coconut Grove. Interviews begin in September and we strongly recommend scheduling the interview early in the admission process because time slots fill up quickly.
Submit recommendation requests by entering email addresses via the applicant checklist. Ransom Everglades School requires two recommendations: an academic teacher from the current school year and a school administrator.
The application deadline is January 10.
Parents can log into the parent portal at any time to access the checklist and track the application progress. We cannot review any application until we have received all of the following required items, which are due February 7 at the very latest:
birth certificate and photograph
on-campus personal interview
official test results from SSAT
transcripts and standardized test scores from the applicant’s current school
The final deadline for all the required materials is February 7.
Admission decisions are released via email on March 1.
All required admission materials must be completed and received by this date including an on-campus personal interview, official test results from SSAT, online recommendations, and transcripts and standardized test scores from the applicant’s current school.
Past performance, SSAT scores and recommendations from a candidate’s current school and teachers, are not the only factors we evaluate. We also look for personal qualities that indicate a candidate will be able to positively contribute to our community and benefit from the full Ransom Everglades experience.
