RE opens 2021-22 with convocation

Ransom Everglades Head of School Penny Townsend and other school and student leaders addressed the RE community at the virtual 2021-22 Convocation on August 23, offering words of welcome, encouragement and inspiration. Student Government Association President Noah Zaldivar '22 and Alicia Medina '26 participated along with Associate Head of School John A. King, Jr., Director of Inclusion and Community Engagement Wendell Graham '74, Head of the Upper School Patricia C.A. Sasser and Interim Head of the Middle School Karen Thompson.
The head of school reminded students and parents that Ransom Everglades, entering its 119th year, "is not a tropical escape from the real world. It is hard preparation for the real world."
