Gold medalist Ashleigh Johnson '12 visits RE

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Ashleigh Johnson '21 visited Ransom Everglades on October 7, using her time on campus to share her latest gold medal with former teachers and students, enjoy an outdoor lunch with Head of School Penny Townsend and the girls' water polo team,  and tour the new Fernandez STEM center.

Johnson, who won her second gold medal in August at the Summer Games in Tokyo with the U.S. water polo team, arrived to campus decked in red, white and blue, and she left with a tote full of RE gear shared. For two hours, she answered questions, accepted many hugs and congratulations, and told stories about her summer. She was accompanied by her mother, Donna Johnson, and boyfriend.
