  • Attire for Seniors

Seniors must wear either a dark-colored suit, white dress shirt, tie and dress shoes in the tradition of the Ransom School or, in the tradition of the Everglades School for Girls, a white or off-white dress, suit or pant suit of a modest style, pattern and material, and dress shoes. Attire must cover the shoulders and extend at least to the knee.

To ensure that all graduates are dressed in a manner that is consistent with the guidelines above, all graduation attire must be approved by Head of the Upper School Patricia Sasser by Thursday, May 12. Students must email Mrs. Sasser photos showing front, back and sides of the attire to be worn at Commencement. Please contact Mrs. Sasser via email or at 305 460 8855 with questions about commencement attire.

  • Invitations

By late April, each senior will receive a box containing four graduation invitations and 20 announcements.

  • Tickets for Commencement

Due to limited seating in the auditorium, the family of each senior receives four tickets to the commencement ceremony. These tickets are given to the students on one of the rehearsal days.

Families may share unneeded tickets with others, or return them to the office of the Head of the Upper School. Returned tickets are used to accommodate those in need of additional tickets.

Families desiring more than four tickets may place their names on a waiting list in the Head of the Upper School’s office. Those requests are honored, if possible, as unneeded tickets become available. Please contact Mrs. Gonzalez via email or at 305 460 8855 to be placed on the waiting list for additional tickets.
