RE invites all members of the community to hear from Ernest Green, one of the “Little Rock Nine” – the group of students that desegregated Central High School in Little Rock, Ark., in 1957 after the Supreme Court's landmark decision in the Brown vs. the Board of Education case. In 1958, Green was awarded the prestigious Spingarn Medal, which is presented annually for outstanding achievements of African Americans by the NAACP, and later the nation’s highest civilian award, the Congressional Gold Medal. Please invite your friends and join us as we celebrate and commemorate Black History Month.
