Middle School "One Book One Day One School" Day
Everglades Campus
The One Book One Day One School (OBODOS) theme for this year is Immigration and Miami in the 60s. On January 17, students were given the book “Flight to Freedom” to read; it is based on a young girl’s flight from Cuba in 1967.
On Wednesday, March 13, students have a full day of activities and a writing workshop with the author, Ms. Ana Veciana-Suarez. The activities range from traditions and cultural events to creating an art piece that can be enjoyed by all. We anticipate a continued enthusiasm and success for this event.
