Student Opt-In for Emergency Text Messaging
Students who have cell phones on file with Ransom Everglades will have the opportunity to opt in for emergency text messages on Monday, Sept. 24. RE's primary goal is to enable direct communication with students in classrooms in the event of an on-campus emergency. Each student who has a cell phone on file with the school will receive a text message that will look something like this: Ransom Everglades School alerts. Reply Y 2 confirm; HELP 4 info. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg freq varies. www.schoolmessenger.com/txt . Students who wish to receive emergency text alerts should respond by texting YES or Y. If they inadvertently delete the message, they may opt in by texting Y to 67587. Please note: they will not be able to opt in until they have received the text message.
